MOSCOW, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Russian Fashion Week (RFW) -- the largest
fashion event in the history of Eastern Europe, under the guidance of Producer
General Alexandre Shumsky will commence October 19 - 26, 2005. In its eighth
season, Russian Fashion Week features 60 shows featuring the most interesting
Russian designers along with participating guests from the Ukraine, Lithuania,
France, Belorussia, Italy, Great Britain and the USA who will present their
Spring/Summer 2006 collections. Participants include: A&V (Lithuania),
Arsenicum by ENTON, Feeric, Fresh Art, Frol Romanoff, SUDARYANTO, Victoria
Andreyanova, Lubov Voyush (Belarus), Victoria Gres (Ukraine), Julia Dalakian,
Olga Deffi, Egor Zaitsev, Victoria Krasnova (Ukraine), Lena Makashova, Yulia
Nikolaeva, Daria Razumikhina, Olga Romina, Olga Samoschenko (Belarus), Lidia
Soselia, Elena Souproun, Sultanna Frantsuzova, Masha Tsigal, Max Chernitsov,

This season RFW Producer General Alexandre Shumsky expands his
revolutionary production template to include a multi-venue operation at
Vassiliev Slope in the Historic Red Square. "It is truly something to behold
on every level. In the heart of Moscow, in the center of the Kremlin, there
stand fantastic fashion tents filled with Moscow's elite and international
superstars. This is our eighth season and the progression is phenomenal and on
par with our international colleagues," states Shumsky. The Financial Times
named Russian Fashion Week as "Russia's only enterprise of international
standing, on par with Milan or NY fashion weeks".
Further Alexandre Shumsky has confirmed Camera della Moda will provide
Italian international superstars for an Italian Day for the RFW Spring/Summer
2006 season to take place in Moscow, October 19 - 26, 2005. "Six Italian
designers: two international superstars and four dynamic newcomers will
headline Italian Day," states Shumsky. The day will be, in part, sponsored by
IFD, the Italian buying office that has been receiving Russian buyers in Italy
for over a dozen years.
Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana president Mario Boselli, flew to
Moscow on a two-day trip. "Magnificent, isn't it. Imagine being able to
actually stage a fashion show in Red Square!" cooed Boselli, his eyes beaming
in appreciation at Red Square. Boselli attended several RFW shows and toured
Moscow's top boutiques. "Eventually, we hope to have several Russian designers
participating in Milan's season too," he added.
In addition to the catwalk shows, RFW will present several galas and
events throughout Moscow. The opening and closing night parties are the most
coveted ticket in Moscow with over 8,000 guests expected to attend. RFW
partners Pantene Pro-V and Motorola will have a solid presence throughout the
